DV Doctor

Post by Roy1 »

Anyone know the current state of this forum. It came back breifly and I was asked to log in with new Password. I did this. and then the site disappeared again.
Again this morning another email arriving showing a link to the site with new password. Clicking onto this link has produced nothing. The site won't open.

A few days ago they said:
"The DVdoctor site is being moved and upgraded. We should be back up and running in a few days.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and hope the new improved site will be worth the wait!"

It looks as if their move has proved a little trickier than they anticipated.

DV Doctor forums have been off line more than they've been on during the last few days. It's a waste of time posting to it at the moment as you can't rely on getting an answer from anybody as the site is not consistantly on line. Pity as I've had a lot of good advice via the Doctor forums.

I,ve given up on DV Doctor. Everytime it comes back, I can't log in because it says the password is wrong, yet it is the correct Password as emailed to me by the site. Now I can't even get a new password. The form comes up I enter the correct details I click onto Email new password and nothing happens. Anyone having the same problem. What with having problems with HD burners and DVD architect not allowing me to make HD ISO's. I'm thinking of giving it all up. I wish the universe still revolved around Super 8 film.

DV Doctor seems to be stabilised at the moment I contacted the people involved and they have been very helpful in ensuring that I can log in OK, which I have done. It must of been just as frustrating for them as it was for me and others. At the moment if you reply to a post, your answer does not appear at the top of the thread, which can be confusing. I hope that this will be put right in the future.

Its rubbish

Would not accept my user name or password that I have been using

Requested new password and then kept going around in a loop

They still have not fixed the terrible interface, I'm giving up on it

Seems ok to me but it has rather a beta look and feel to it at the moment.

I could only log into it this morning by creating a new user account.

Stuttering, slow to load, abysmal colours (too much white), illegible text.

There is nothing wrong with this PC nor any of the other three (with different resolutions) I use to access the forum as they all have the same issues.

I have given up on it.

Seems that the DV Doctor is back, stable and reliable. Congrats to the people behind the scenes. It's not quite like it used to be, but what is today.

Well the Doctor's ailments look a bit terminal to me this time. It was sticky, slow and unresponsive so only the long-term patients would stick with it. In this day and age a website like that is doomed.
