Filmmaker or Gigolo ?

Post by Willy »

Bad news for my club. One of the youngest members of my club has become a gigolo.
Alain played a role in my Breendonk film. He was one of the prisoners of war who was executed.
Some years ago he bought a new camera. A brand new Canon with new lenses etc. etc... He's "only" 50. So he's reasonably young. I was very happy that he was a new enthusiastic filmmaker in my club. Now, some years later, he sold his camera for a piece of cake. Ludo, an other enthusiastic filmmaker, who aslo still in his fifties, bought it for only 450 euros. Why did Alain sell his camera ? He's not interested in filmmaking anymore. He's become a gigolo ! Thanks to internet he can recommend himself. Ladies who would like a male escort for one night or more can contact him. Sometimes I hate internet. Some members of my club are now intersted in exchanging jokes that they can find on internet. They don't make films anymore.

Sad.

He's also going to miss out on one of the crassest chat-up lines I ever heard - actually used quite frequently by a film director who made a few of our commercials ...

"I can get you into the movies, you know..."

The last time I ever heard him use it (he was making a holiday camp commercial for us) - and it may even be the last time he ever did use it, the girl (a bartender) replied

"And I guess if I play my cards really well, I can spend a whole night with you?"

Everyone around roared with laughter. Collapse of stout party, as the old Punch cartoons used to say ...
