Cotswold Festival Results

Post by Dave Watterson »

The Cotswold International Film & Video Festival results are now on its website at www.cotswoldfilmvideofest.co.uk

Among the UK winners were:

Amateur Gold went to Darren Cyples for "Candlelight". I think Darren is a member of Stoke CVS.
Amateur Silver went to Daniel & Simon Griggs for "In the Shadows of the Light"
Amateur Bronze went to Terry Mendoza and Lester Redding for "Numbers"
Best Editing went to Robert Lorrimer for "Dream Car".
Best Sound to Willy's mates at Preston for "U-482".
Best Comedy went to "Sebastien Foucault - Free Runner" by Ladma Comedy Group.
Best of British went to Altrincham for "The Pinnacle"
Jessops Photography award went to Dean Burman for "Lair of the Water Wolf"

In the Open Category the Bronze went to Phil Martin for "Red Kite Returns".

I don't think any of our regular contributors had entries in the festival this year. Why not?

Dave

PS I believe the Guernsey Lily results are on their way to film makers now and should be on their website before long.

It's true I didn't enter a film, and the reason for that is that I can't go to fesivals like that, so I don't know them, and also I don't have the confidence that my little old stabs at movies stand a hope in hell's chance against our top people.

But I did enter Biaff for the first time last year, and I'll enter Phase 4's competiton this year, then take things from there.
