I've just been reading our club's copy of the mag, and a couple of point come to mind, observations rather than criticisms.
DVCProHD 1080 in PAL regions is 1440x1080, like HDV, but without the compression problems.
With the new lower spec P2 cards, shooting P2 no longer costs an arm and a leg, only the leg
!, Panny's HPX 171 is a similar price to the Z1, and the E-series P2 cards are very much cheaper, about 1/3 or less the price of the R-series, I'm thinking of getting a 64 gig one for my HVX, as it's only about £500 instead of £1800 for the R version.Although I've not used it myself, MPEGStreamclip has a good rep for converting AVCHD.
