Editing multi-camera music videos

I used to use software that displayed up to 6 (IIRC) videos in a box at the top LHS of the single screen.
The videos were also displayed on a more traditional timeline, one above the other and a higher quality sound track from a mixing desk was displayed at the bottom (my choice).
As the audio plays the cut to the chosen video track is performed by clicking on the video track displayed in the multi-choice box at the top LHS of the screen.
I'm making it sound complicated but it was so simple to use.
Fine adjustment, sound levels and position of cuts or transitions in addition to the selected straight cut or cross-fade can be edited directly on the time line.
I was hoping that describing the software would jog a cog in my failing memory ............. no such luck.
Any suggestions? I remember it was a USA company, but not Adobe.
Please help an aging amateur film maker.

(Sony) Vegas? I used it a lot for this sort of thing.
To be honest, most NLEs will do this nowadays.
DaVinci Resolve certainly will.

What Tim says any modern editor meets this criteria. I use Vegas Pro. (was Sony). An excellent editor. DaVinci good too, but can be quite a learning curve.
