Do you remember when in infants school the Abacus was used
as an aid to teaching Arithmetic ?

Short and sweet - like so many of your films.
I found myself starting to think about Osvaldo Cavandoli's "La Linea" series and Chuck Jones ... but it was the use of colour which transformed the film for me. That gave it life and personality in a way I cannot clearly explain.
