Edinburgh Cine & Video Society has owned its own premises in Edinburgh since 1936 and due to the Covid pandemic this is only the second time that the club has been closed for an extensive period, the last one was WWII. However this time the threat is different and requires the 54 seater film theatre ventilation to be improved or a hospital standard air purifier installed before the club can re-open, obviously for Covid transmission issues and giving the members confidence to attend the club evenings. If anyone has a similar issue before reopening, in our case the first Thursday of October, please get in contact with me. The other issue is funding for such a project and if anyone knows where funding grants can be applied for again please let me know.
