Editor/viewer lamp

Hi team. Somewhat unusual request for info coming up. I have a lot of Super 8 film to look through and would like a much brighter editor/viewer screen image on my Erno EM-1801 if possible.
The current lens is a 6v 10w incandescent bulb in a 10mm cylindrical bayonet fitting. Is there a halogen or LED replacement, or a 15w version of the same bulb?

Have you tried The Widescreen Centre?
http://www.widescreen-centre.co.uk
or
http://www.widescreen-centre.co.uk/film-department
Don't be put off by their name, they sell many accessories for film use.
More seriously though. Have you tried looking at your Super 8 film in a darkened room?
You'll find the image appears to be a lot brighter...

Thanks for your thoughts Cathy. I've used the Wide-screen centre for many years but even they don't have a replacement lamp for my viewer. I've bought one on eBay and we'll see if it improves matters.

The replacement lamp arrived (rated at 15w rather than the stipulated 10w) and is very slightly brighter, but it's a cheap £1.95 thing and the filament is wonky inside the glass bulb so it doesn't focus nicely, giving me a streaky picture. I've cleaned the multi-faceted prism and the four surface silvered mirrors inside the viewer, and it's acceptable I suppose. Gosh, the kit we worked with back in the 80s.

Of course, you couldn't always try plugging in your editor/viewer,
and then switching it on.
That might help.

I'll get my worms right next time.

Have you tried Classic Home Cinema at Cleethorpes. They seem to everything under the sun regarding 8mm and 16mm film gear.
