Scotland's Home Movies
If any of you have not seen the recent terrific BBC Scotland programme "Scotland's Home Movies:Memories on Film", which features Norman Speirs, I'm told by the producer/director that it is being repeated on Monday 7th September on BBC4 at 8pm. I would encourage everyone to try and see this programme if at all possible. There will be a further 4 x 30 min programmes in the series, probably around Christmas time.

Re: Scotland's Home Movies
Thanks for posting this, Brian. It reminded me to record it and I've just finished watching.
It seems life north of the border in the 60s and 70s was not so different from that in the Home Counties - at least as far as what was captured by the home enthusiast goes. I can't comments on earlier footage as I wasn't around then. I'm sure life in general was tougher as we in the south did not directly suffer mass unemployment, but as Norman said, we tend to capture the happy rather than the sad.
