Back again, chaps!

Next thing - what's the matter with a Canon Pixma iP4600 printer that won't print black print?
At first looked like ink running out - it isn't.
Cleaned, deep cleaned (made it worse) repeated.
Now the grid of print lines doesn't show up at all.
Changed cartridges.
No better.
Of course, it's on holiday and won't be back till Tuesday (some hopes)

I'll try that, thanks, Tim, if I can find out wher to apply it.
