they have kindly invited me to see how the set works,

I was lucky enough to be asked to make the 'Making Of' a feature film being shot here in North London three or four years ago and my piece is on the DVD as an extra. Actually I found the experience quite stressful as some of the actors were a bit touchy concerning my intrusion. All the technicians were brilliant though. I also (by arrangement) got a film of my own out of it, you may have seen it around, titled 'Shooting on a Shoestring'.
No great surprises with the set up, they work very much as we do, their kit is a bit superior though!
