Regarding lighting... i'm sure most of you will tell me you know this, but it's new to me!
On my current film, i've actually loosened my reigns and let someone else be the cameraman! Which is tough for me, as i love doing this myself! But hey! I also love Directing, and that is what i'm concentrating on, on this film.

ANYWAY... we need to shoot a series of external sequences at Night, and my cameraman showed me how to do this in broad daylight and have it still look good! We're shooting on the Canon 7D for reference.
First off, he took a picture of a sheet of yellow card.
Then, we took a Custom White Balance setting off this image.
This gave a nice blue hue to the image, and with the right ISO, Exposure & Shutter Speed settings, we had some very nice Night time looking footage shot in the middle of the day.
Like i said... you probably knew this already... but i found it useful.
