Yes I just looked at the site on that link here, was very delighted to see and read it, being an 8mm then super 8mm movie maker since I was 10 years old, and even now I have my Eumig Super 8mm sound projector, mind you I will choke on the dust on the box it's in if I move it.
I now use Hi8 video, but will always have a place in my heart for those 8mm movies I love making.

Does it depress you that the folks behind that course seem to like super-8mm because it looks so "amateurish" and like dad's home movies?

A few years ago Tony Shapps kept insisting that young film makers enjoyed the "film look" they got by using super-8mm but I suspect these days the appeal of a digital camera with one of those ground-glass gizmos in front is stronger and still is said to give a film look.

I know what you mean Dave... but i do agree with the comments to a certain extent, as using or watching Super 8mm movies just reminds me of my child hood and watching/making films with my dad.

Happy days... :-)
