Who is on line?

Whenever I log on there are between 6 and 8 "guests" on line, bear in mind that I often log on when it is the middle of the night in the UK. Who are these people or are they some form of robots scouring the net for the unwary?

At this moment 22.30 in UK (which appears here as 21.30 - I will try to switch to British summer time!) there are several "Bots" from search engines: google, inktomi and yahoo among them.
Guests - i.e. real people - can read the forum, but even if they try, they cannot write to it without being registered. A few of them appear from time to time. As the net is worldwide there is never a completely quiet time. We have readers from USA, Australia and all points between.
All of which reveals how much info the forum administrator can get!!!
