Which is the best blank DVD with printable label?

A question for all of you who are more technically savvy than I am ... when
cutting blank DVDs with copies of movies, which do you find the best?

I specifically want to use the kind you can print onto - lots of people dislike
stick-on labels.

I would like them to play in as many other machines as possible so will look
for DVD-R.

Verbatim is one good name that I know. Which other brands can you recommend?

PLEASE DO NOT SAY ANYTHING RUDE ABOUT BRANDS YOU DO NOT LIKE - THIS IS AN
OPEN FORUM

All advice gratefully received

I use Verbatim 4x and 8x DVD-R printables successfully. Also have used TDK
8x but the printing surface is not as good in my opinion although the working
side was fine. Have very few rejects with both.

The best DVD-R printable discs out there are the Taiyo Yuden Dave. They
cost a bit more than the Verbatims and about duble what an equivalent Ritek
costs, but the reviews have been outstanding.

The Rytek discs have a better printing surface than the Verbatims, as the
latter are 'less white' in the 20 to 40 mm diameter range. I use Ritek DVD-R
8x.
