Possible interest to Filmmakers??

Hi Ray,
Wow, that would be excellent. I never knew about this. I will contact them this week - once you have a film certified I believe it is then classed as an official film.

I also heard that is cost approx. 15 pounds per minute and you have to send all footage including documentaries and everything else. Would cost a fortune!

The BBFC have a website giving prices and all conditions etc. I do not have the address handy, but it is easily found using Google etc.
I did notice there was a discount for charities!

I was not quite correct with my info about the Completion Fund, which in any case is out of time -- we are too late.

Then again Ray, according to this site they are talking about shorts. I doubt they would have considered looking at a full length feature film.

It might well be worthwhile talking to the people at your regional film board. They seem to be mostly very nice young ladies with masters degrees in film studies.

I agree with you!
However, the Political Correctness Police are just round the corner, waiting to pounce!
There will be on-the-spot fines, soon -- mark my words.
The government need the money to send 10.5 Billion quid to Brussels this year to fund more mindless bureaucracy!

Gosh darn all this political correctness. Everyone is so paranoid about offending folk of paranoid that folk are having a go at them. I have friends (as we all do I'm sure) who are all kinds of races. Whilst there aren't many ethnic groups in Caithness (if you excuse the Sinclairs, Mansons, Sutherlands, Campbells, Tinklers and the Police) we do have plenty Chinese, Indian, Pakistani and heck we even like the Americans. In Caithness a spade is a spade. I don't shirk from my ginger haired friends or my fat friends or my bald friends. I say plenty of fun things about their shape, size, color, and personal preferences and expect no different in return. Call me anything you want. I know what I am, I'm a short, pale-blue, hairy-bottomed Scotsman. Make of it what you will. Does a sheep know what raceism is?

Oh, it's a joke Billy Connely came out with about Scottish people at the beach. We start off blue with the cold, work our way through peely-wally-white to bright red, then hopefully... a sun tan!

Although in truth it only takes 10 minutes to get sunburnt in Thurso.

Are you sure it is radiation from the sun which causes the tan, or radiation from the nuclear installation?
I suppose if you do not actually glow in the dark you are OK!
