What this has to do with the IAC I know not, except

I was touched by messages from amateur film makers in Austria, Belgium, Estonia
and Slovakia which reached me shortly after the news of the London bombings
broke last week. It may not be strictly IAC but part of the purpose of UNICA
- the international umbrella organisation for amateur moviemaking federations
- is to bring nations together so that we can better understand each other
and live peaceably together.

I cannot help wondering if any British amateur will attempt a movie about
it or its aftermath. We had one or two after 9/11 about New York. It is a
topic about which people should get impassioned and make movies ...

PS Albert, I agree about the dangers of religious extremism or any other
idealistic doctrine which does not accept the full range of humanity and
that others may not share their beliefs.

I always wanted to make a movie about the bomb in Warrington that killed Tim
Parry and the little toddler. I'm surprised no-one (to my knowledge) ever
picked up the rights to such.
