Rob Phillips
I was saddened today to receive an email from Trish Phillips to tell me that her husband Rob Phillips had died yesterday at home in Trearddur Bay, Ynys Môn (Anglesey). I knew Rob only slightly - we chatted at BIAFFs in the past but we did share a Welshness and a passion for film. And he lived just down the road from my dad. RIP Rob.

Re: Rob Phillips
Me too. I first met Rob and Trish when they started coming to the CEMRIAC events. Even though they lived so far away, they always made the trip, and I know they were very close to Jackie Williams. Rob was forever posting photos and clips of that bay, and a couple of years ago I happened to be walking on that same sand with the family — I thought of him then. Rest in peace, Rob.

Re: Rob Phillips
I have just seen this. We knew Rob very well from a number of years ago. Jackie and Tony Williams and Trish and Rob Phillips were always there are many BIAFFs as a group of four. We sought them out each year for a catch up and we regularly chatted in the breaks about the films we liked and the ones we didn't. It was a few years ago when Tony died and broke up the foursome. Rob and Trish stopped attending the IAC events and we once arranged a Zoom call to have a catch up. From then on, from time to time, we used to exchange an e-mail, until these too fell away and became less frequent. I would like to send a message to Trish but no longer have any contact details, unless Jackie Williams has an address. Another very sad loss.
