The Midsummer Filmmaking Challenge 2022

Post by Simon Sumner »

A midsummer weekend of filmmaking fun and a FREE online film festival.

The filmmaking challenge:

Open to teams of 2 persons or more, entrants will be asked to make a film fitting one of two themes that will be announced at the beginning of the event at 9.00am on Saturday 25th June.

Completed films (maximum 10 minutes duration) will need to be uploaded to YouTube/Vimeo/Google Drive by 6.00pm on Sunday 26th June to allow organisers time to prepare the online show.

The film show:

Whether you’re making a film or not, be sure to join us from 7:00pm on Sunday 26th June via Zoom to enjoy the films that have been produced. Catch up with friends, sit back, relax, enjoy, and use your audience vote to help choose our favourite film. There are no prizes here - just a great opportunity to show off our filmmaking efforts to a warm and appreciative audience (and a little kudos for the winners!)

How to take part:

Whether you want to take part in the filmmaking challenge or simply wish to join us for the Sunday evening online film show, you will need to register for the event via the Eventbrite page. Registering is FREE and will allow us to contact participants with instructions on how to take part in the filmmaking challenge, as well as sharing Zoom conference access details for the Sunday evening online show.
