I'm puzzled, Michael. Do you have a precog ability hitherto unrevealed?

So far as I know the results are not yet known, let alone published.

There were certainly the usual range of films from absolute beginner's level - what I would get if I ever entered anything - up to superb and delightful.

Go on Michael, spill the beans! What do you know?
I suspect you’re bluffing… unless you’ve hacked into the BIAFF organisers’ computers! 😂

Michael, I can’t afford the massive bribe that would be needed for that to happen!
I’m hoping the results will start to be sent out from Monday 21st March. Time will tell.

Well, I achieved my aim, to wind young Howard up! Not too successfully though I admit.

The wait for the results is agonising. Hopefully we’ll receive them very soon…

I get the impression the trio in charge are carefully reading the crits to make sure they are not cruel or misleading. I know a couple of judges have been politely asked to make minor changes ... on the lines of "could you add a sentence to explain why, after so much praise, this film did not get a higher mark?"

I hope this will avoid situations where a film maker feels insulted or cheated of a score.

I'm not with Howard on this, I'm never (hardly ever, HMS Pinafore?)) surprised by my results so no anxiety whatsoever.
Dave, cruel comments are all part of the aspect of art, we have to accept them, the same as we accept praise when forthcoming. Judges surely can write honestly and openly, otherwise what's the point of judges?

But Michael, I bet you didn’t predict or expect your 1 star award 2 years ago!
I realise that I value the BIAFF awards more highly than many filmmakers. For me, BIAFF is the main incentive for making films as it provides goals to aim for. My Diamond award from last year means a lot to me and I’m hoping for another one sometime. As we oldies know, “A Double Diamond works wonders!” 😂

Ah Howard, that's true! I can tell you that not even a Triple Diamond works wonders when you get old, things start to hurt, you'll see.

Six 4 star films.
Two 3 star films.
One 2 star film.
I wonder if this is a record number of entries from a filmmaker in a single year?
I didn’t quite make it to 5 stars this year but not to worry there’s always next year!
Congratulations to all the top winners!

I mentioned before Howard, don't get too worked up, film judging is very subjective. Over the years, my first IAC Festival (LAFF) was in 1973, I have very rarely disagreed with a judgement, either on my own, or on other other people's films.

This year my scores are 444, what will be will be. We are getting older, maybe the youngsters are doing better with more imagination.
