NOFI FESTIVAL a couple of British successes ...

I hear that on 31st May, NOFI - the festival of the Armenian Film Makers, will recognise a couple of British films:
Driftwood by James Webber is one of best films and wins in 3 nominations
Too Many Ghosts by Ian Woodward gets a diploma for best script.
James Webber had huge success with Commitment and Dancer at BIAFFs. He feels with some regret that he has now stepped too far into the professional world to be an amateur now. His film was crowd-funded with lots of people making donations. It has had great success at all sorts of festivals. It is even in the Coup De Coeur section at Cannes this year.
Ian Woodward teases me every time we are in touch because Too Many Ghosts got 2-stars at BIAFF, but has had enormous success ever since at other festivals.
Congratulations to both film makers. The NOFI Festival looks to be a great event: giant cinema, selections of fine films from around the world and outings to fascinating places. Jan and I could not go this year but it is on our list for the future.
