IndieDemand Online Film Festival

Post by fraught »

I've just entered one of my films into the IndieDemand.com Online Film Festival. They basically put 8 films forward for the public vote, and the film that wins the vote goes through with a chance to win $200 of Amazon Vouchers.

My film '8 Ball' has made it through to the July finals, and is now open to the public vote... so click this link http://www.indiedemand.com/best-film-of-the-month/ and get voting! As long as you vote for '8 Ball'... ;-)

Congratulations again, Fraught. You have got me wondering whether the IAC website should list contests by what it costs to enter them (DVD/postage/entry fee) as there are many now free of entry fee and which you can enter online. The catch is knowing which will be of real use to most non-commercial film makers. I came across one recently which was welcoming "indie" work ... at $75 dollars a time!

The link for the IAC website list of festivals is here: http://www.theiac.org.uk/eventsnew/fest ... ivals.html

And for those who have not yet enjoyed 8-Ball, you can find it and many others from BIAFF 2012 here: http://www.theiac.org.uk/movies/biaff20 ... f2012.html
or watch it here:

Thanks Dave.

Yeah that would be really helpful. There are loads out there that are free as well as lots that want to fleece you!

I try to enter as many free festivals/competitions as i can as it's all good even if you don't win anything. :)

Made a start on the "free to enter" festival list with ones I know and trust. See http://www.theiac.org.uk/eventsnew/fest ... ivals.html but would welcome recommendations about others.

And when is the next Red Carpet event???

Only just noticed this! Looking good Dave.

The next Red Carpet event is on the 3rd November, should be a good event! :-)

Exciting news... Indiedemand.com are having a Best Film of the Year award, with the twelve winners from the year taking part. My film '8 Ball' won Film of the Month in July, and is now a contender for Film of the Year! :-)

So if you would be so kind as to go here : http://www.indiedemand.com/best-film-of-the-month/ and then vote for '8 Ball'... that would be awesome. :-)
