The Red Carpet Screenings International Film Festival went ahead on Saturday night, with a fantastic collection of films across a large spectrum of genres. It has a great format in that each film maker is interviewed on stage to talk about their film before it's shown, which is different to other festivals i've been to.
Jim and Jamie's film 'Vision' was shown, and from the conversations i had with people, it was really well received. I thought it was great! Very creepy, and had everyone on the edge of their seat.
There were a surprising number of first time film makers on show too, with some work that was pretty darn good for first timers! The film receiving the Best Film award was a short called 'Parked', from a theatre group whom had never made a film before. Quite remarkable.
My latest flick 'Room 4' was shown, and got a really good reception. I was really chuffed with the audience reaction, particulary at the end of the film.
All in all, a very very good festival, packed with some amazingly talented people! I can't wait for the next one!
