Any Adobe CS6 and Mac users out there?

I have received a request for help from a newcomer to our hobby. He is taking the first steps, has a camera, has completed a family movie and ended up with a BMDV file.
I think he really want to make a DVD rather than a BluRay disc.
Is there anyone among our readers, who would be willing to help him with some direct correspondence? He does not need techie bafflement, just the kind of help many of us got at our local club or the commercial film magazines when we began.
