Fascinating. But I was rather surprised that the hubs of the feed and take-up spools didn't scratch that soft emulsion in the extended scratch test.

Tom thanks for comment. In relation to the take-up spools you may notice that the two of them are clear plastic types. They have 2 hubs with the outer one being compleatly smooth and that is why i used these for the testing. There is also a lot of slack on the loop but no scratches showed on the monitor after that extended time.
