Pinnacle Studio 12 plus & You Tube

A colleague is having trouble (again). He has completed a project in the programme and made a couple of DVDs. The format being 16x9. These DVDs play fine on his PC. However, on uploading to You Tube the video is only shown as 4x3. He doesn't have a stand-alone DVD player to test in this way. Any ideas or help please. Pete.
