HD Camera and Firewire

A large number of our members use Casablanca editing equipment,(a dedicated editing system) which only takes a firewire input.

I have been asked by members who wish to go into HD whether I know of a HD camera with a traditional firewire connection that would feed into the Casablanca.

Can anyone help please?

All the HDV cameras that I know of come equipped with Firewire ports, so that includes the entire Sony range and all the Canons and so on. Cameras that record to flash memory cards are shunning the Firewire socket - they just assume you'll pop the card and plug it straight into your computer or TV.
