Our new moviemaking meetup club has yet to become affiliated to the IAC. We wondered if there was a deal to be had for public liability insurance through the IAC if we join up.

Pendle MM have been insured through brokers Arthur J Gallagher who are the successors of Amlin who were the brokers recommended by the IAC when we started getting club equipment rather than individually-owned players etc. years ago. The actual insurers have changed and the brokers have kept prices down. Our insurance is not due till October but the address of the person I dealt with last year is below.
Hope that helps.
Peter.

UPDATE
When it was due a lady phoned up to say that unfortunately Pendle MM's equipment had not been covered during the previous year (in spite of my checking that it was but forgetting to check that a reply had come) and that there would be an increase in premium to cover it this year.
I looked on line and found -
Unity Insurance Services - Charity Insurance for UK charities ...
https://www.unityinsuranceservices.co.uk/
A charity insurance broker that makes a difference. Specialist insurance cover for UK charities, youth groups, community and voluntary organisations
,
I spoke to a helpful gentleman and it was all done & dusted over the Sept/October weekend at a lower premium.
Until one claims it's impossible to judge but so far so good.

Phew!

Thanks for the update and the tip, Peter. Let us hope that none of us has to call on such insurance.
