hi guys
excuse the the writing, my uppercase button is broken,

anyway..at long last we have found our smallholding, we will be moving down to cornwall very soon, the welsh place fell through at the final hour , which turned out to be a good thing

its been a funny year with filming and trying to sort things out….but a very funny thing happened just the other day, whilst taking a visit to the smallholding, i find my new neighbours are very heavy into filming for the bbc… from helicopters :D
well they are a helipad
we had a great conversation and they gave me a super tour of the choppers and filming gear….

this looks like a great relationship in the making..in more ways than one….they seemed very interested in the meat i will be rearing and loved the idea of me filming my smallholding experience…
i wonder if they will do some ariel shots for me when passing over  i can but ask

hope you are all well

john

Great to hear it's all coming together for you at last John.
And I hope your relationship with the aerial filming continues to develop and bears fruit (so long a sthey don't scare the animals)

well after many delays..we signed… :D but for every good thing, it seems a bad thing happens. only a few weeks ago, i tripped, and almost crushed my little dog, out of fear he snapped, and caught my eye..it was totally my fault, but this little saga is continuing, with me having to have another operation on the eye….

the good thing is, i can still see,
the camera should start rolling soon, capturing the story of building up the holding, there are some stunning views, and some pretty steep hills

Wow, John !
Why do so many bad things happen to such a nice person?

The key point I take from your message is your positive thinking. No matter what hands we are dealt, people who think that way make things happen ... and often do a great deal to help other people along the way.

At least eye surgery is among the most sophisticated medical work these days with near-miraculous machines and surgeons who can work wonders. Good luck with that.

The dog obviously needs a bell not a collar, so that there is less chance of you tripping over him ...

Thanks for the lovely photos too - they give us a great idea of where you now live.

All best wishes.

Thanks Dave,
yes the new holding is beautiful, i am sure they will do a top job with the eye, in fact, the eye is being used in a film this sunday…i have offered my services to a young film maker as an extra , i think i will fit the role as a beaten refugee

life is good, we just have a few minor falls now and then, never worth dwelling on the bad things, they happened, and you can never change that….so looking forward to the future, no pun intended  and really looking forward to filming as much as we can building up the smallholding,
