It's a great way of keeping people up to date on the progress of your film, as well as getting people interested in it.

Cheers John. I'm a great advocate of Facebook, if used correctly, it can be a powerful tool.

Re: Facebook page
A bonus of keeping people up to date this way is that you have material you can use to pull together a press-pack quickly. More and more festivals are asking for stills, film-maker portraits and so on.

I am not against facebook, but ... last week my daughter said : "Daddy, you must be careful! Everybody can see what you have written!"
What I had written was not confidential, but to be honest ... I was not aware that everybody could read it. What do you think about this disadvantage ?

Re: Facebook page
Also... if you know anyone can read it, only write things that you don't mind everyone reading.

Re: Facebook page
Facebook changes the rules about who see what every few months. There is usually a way of controlling it but my approach is to write on my "status" only things I am happy for anyone to read. Private messages I usually send by email but occasionally send using the Facebook Messages system.
A general rule on the internet is never write on web pages or even in emails anything you want to keep absolutely confidential. There are always copies, backups and so on.

Re: Facebook page
It's a little cracker of a film. It has it's premiere screening at the Red Carpet Screening Film Festival in Feb this year. Chris & John (the guys behind it) came along, they're a really nice bunch of people. The actors are amazing. The woman (Alexa Tewksbury) is not actually an actor, she's an author than fancied a go at acting. What a wonderful job she did too. Make sure you keep an eye on Monkey Dribble films, as they have a new short coming, with a feature bubbling away in the background.
