Downloading Panasonic P2 cards

Post by Elmo »

Can anybody out there tell me why footage shot on my P2 card is not in chronological order when transfered to Adobe Premier Pro CS5 PC via P2 viewer?

I don't use P2 or CS5 but I'd take a guess that the files can be categorised by date and time (as you'd like) but also by file size. Is this what's jumbling them up?

I've found the answer on the internet written by a Barry Green. I needced to create a P2 metadata file on the cameras SD memory card. My clips now download as shot 1. shot 2 and so on. Thanks anyway Tom.
