Our Euro-friends call them persiflage, we call them pastiche ... we all mean an affectionate imitation of a striking original. The AMPS website has on its front page one of the best we have ever seen. Pop over to http://www.ampsvideo.com and click on the movie to see it full screen if you can.

Re: An unmissable pastiche
At 72 years of age I never thought I would use the expression ... "That's so COOL!"
Can ANYONE please tell me how to store that on my computer....please?

Hi Granfer
There are many programs which let you download and save YouTube files (and those from similar websites.) I normally use one of the add-ons for Firefox Browser. But you may be using another browser, so ...
Try this one which works with any browser: YouTubeDownloader.
Read about it - and watch a video about it - at
http://download.cnet.com/YouTube-Dow ... 0.html
When you download it be careful to untick two boxes:
a) the offer to make Yahoo your search engine and
b) the offer to give you a Dealio toolbar - unless you really want those.
It seems to work - I gave it a quick test this evening. It certainly passes all my anti-virus scans.
The tool saves the film and allows you to convert it to various formats. You can find "Web Site Story" on Youtube easily. It is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtPb8g8Jl6I

Re: An unmissable pastiche
There was a special reason why I found that "spoof" irresistible.... West Side Story is my all-time favourite musical, partly because of the classic music, but also because 16th March 1960 was the first time I took my present wife on a "date".. to see the show at Her Majesty's Theatre in London.
We married in the October and have just completed 49 years.
By the way, she cannot see any point in this piece... "why do people waste so much time on such rubbish!"
