A good idea but man is it painfull to watch.

How on earth can anyone think that this is cool or whatever the young use to describe the effect

Arrgh!! That made me dizzy!!
The effect would be good if used once, or perhaps twice in a film, but to use it for every transition? I'm not so sure.

But the effect is interesting, stepping through the film and pausing every few seconds shows there's more going on than just spinning the picture. As the picture turns the perspective changes in the way would expect if you were turning upside down, but the pictures appear to be stills not movie footage, the skateboarder is frozen mid-jump and the birds are suspended mid-flight, but as the image rotates the foreground objects move across the background as they would if you were moving around the scene.

Visually the scenes reminded me of the sort of 3D effect you got from the old Viewmaster stereoscopic viewers.
