Film Festival

Post by Brian Saberton »

I was having a look at the web-site for the BBC Film Festival which is being held in Glasgow on 9th Sept. and was intrigued by the picture of the presenter as it looks to me as if he is posing with a Super 8 camera. It looks like it could be a Canon but I might be wrong - what do you all think?

Yes, I think you're right, Brian. My very first camera was a Canon Super 8. A second hand camera. In fact it's time to watch these films again, but I fear I will be ashamed then. 'I was in love ' with my zoom button.

By the way ... September is also the month for the International Film Festival in Edinburgh I think. I remember the publicity in your capital when I was there. I suppose that only professional films are shown then.

The Edinburgh Film Festival has just finished. Traditionally it has run at the same time as the Edinburgh Festival but next year it is going to take place in June. For anyone who might be interested there will also be a Glasgow Film Festival in February 2008.
