I like to watch movies on line

Post by Michael Carter »

My movies, your movies; it is fun to watch them on line and comment on them.
Have a look at one of mine:
ftp://ftp.filmshooting.com/upload/video/avi/castle.avi
that version is one of three there. It is only 4.14 MB in size; it is a DivX
file. Free players are online. http://www.16mmoviemaking.com/05-6_Carephilly.htm
links to larger versions that fill the PC screen can be found from the above.
Right mouse click on the link and save file as to get in on the hard drive.

All seems very complicated but when I have an hour to spare I will give it
a try.

But, surely you don't want your productions viewed on a tiny computer screen?
I won't show mine unless they can be projected onto a large screen, or at
worst on a plasma screen through a DV player. The impact of the image is
primary surely?

Get broadband, it only takes a few minutes that way.

Yep. That is why I like film. I can afford to project it large but I can't
afford a plasma tv screen. However, I can not project my movie to the entire
world like I can over the net. Besides, my 17" flat screen high res Monitor
looks pretty good. Not as good as my movies do on the widescreen tv off the
DVD player, but pretty good.
