Re: February 2024 FVM

they were waiting for an expected CEMRIAC magazine which did not come
they received an unexpected box of SoCo magazines ... which they mislaid.

Perhaps they had a great New Year party ...

Re: Our friend Ron Prosser has passed away. We'll miss him!

This is indeed sad news. Ron was a powerhouse on the IAC Council. At regional events he and his wife, Joy, were always warmly welcomed ... not least because of the amazing teas Joy provided.

He was a fine film maker.

Re: Competition sections

Nice try, Albert! Actually I suspect there may be one or two other competitors. But the notion of categories within a competition is worth considering. Ned has long argued for a "student" category. The current age divisions are broadly intended to separate young people at school (under 18)...

For some years people have expressed concern about: the number of people in clubs reducing the number of clubs reducing the number of IAC regions reducing the number of members in IAC reducing How much further can we go? There are already questions about whether a "live" BIAFF will be viab...

Re: UNICA 2023

It was a wonderful moment for the Brits in the hall. We had an inkling that it might get one of the rare Goods ... But never dared hope it would take the top award. I have to say that since it was 30 degrees heat and the hall lacked aircon ... the closing scene in the rain won even more tears than u...
