Re: Borehamwood on the brink ... ?

:( Hi Alls, Preamble: Yes, sad when a "club" enters its demise. This happened here at *Stroud this last January but a major contributory factor therein was the sudden upheaval of the baffling silliness, (I could use a more descriptive word - but I'd probably be banned)!!!! of a certain few...

Re: URGENT ---- MARANTZ CASSETTE RECORDER

:)
Hi Col, Tom and Chrisk,

Many and grateful thanks for your help and the pointers. I hadn't tried E-bay
etc. I must confess, (obviously I should have done), the reason being that
previously in other directions I once had a bit of a problem so subsequently became wary!

Best wishes......Lee.

URGENT ---- MARANTZ CASSETTE RECORDER

:?: Hi Alls, Can anyone help please? ---- (Don't smile)!...... I have a professional cassette tape recorder, (as used to be used by the BBC), it's a Marantz Superscope CD320. It still records and plays back superbly BUT the Fast FWD and the Rewind have become "kaput"! It would appear that ...

Re: COPY BARRING

 !!!! Hi Tim and All, Just another word / afterthought. The scratches Les put on his DVD disc were eight in number and quite tiny . There were four more or less equally spaced around the centre where the clear bit joins the recording surface. Four more were on the outside edge. It has been ...

Re: The camera that changed the world

:o Don't worry John C:....... Oh yeah, Tripods are anathema to cameramen on the run! Stabilisers i.e. Steadicam etc., make one look as if having been rigged for a Free Fall exercise from 40,000 feet. (sorry, 12,308 metres, give or take 3 feet)! Tripods are anathema to aeroplane overhead racks. Today...

Re: COPY BARRING

 In response to Tim's comment. Didn't try the PC, (oddly), however I have just done so and all I got was: "Incompatible DVD decoder", the disc would not even play .. the other methods I have i.e. VLC etc. simply ignored the disc and reported nothing. Also tried Casablanca - that h...

Re: COPY BARRING

8) Further (final) report on the Copy Barring problem: First to answer Tim re Contract: It seems that he did not include any reference since it's the very first one he's done, and arrangements were verbal!!!! (He's learned now)! Second: I got him to scratch the inner (start) and outer (finish) of th...
