Programme not recognising files.

I deliberately didn’t put the name of the programme above as I thought no one would be interested . . . Sorry. Here goes. A colleague has been given Pinnacle Studio 15HD to update from Studio 12. He asked me to install it for him. Before doing so I installed it on an older desktop machine of mine bu...

Re: Mini DV Tapes

Thanks for the interest. Progress has been made in that a friend of the deceased has offered to erase some tapes and I have started to do the same. Naturally the widow doesn't want to pass on tapes containing personal material so I'm sure we respect that. Roy. As soon as I have a worthwhile bundle o...

Re: Mini DV Tapes

Thanks Roy. I will keep some in hand. I said I would wipe them, but thinking about it, I realise that wll take me an hour each . . . . . I know there is a system for rapid wiping them but I haven't this. Do you know anything about it?? Does anyone know? I will give it some thought. Cheers. Pete.

Mini DV Tapes

Simple question. Is anyone out there interested in a quantity of used once only Mini DV tapes that I've inherited from a member now passed on??? I will clean them off. Only postage required plus a small donation to his widow. If not then they are for the bin. Very sad really.
Cheers. Pete

Re: Copyright query

Thanks to all for your input to my query. As originally mentioned, I always try to use copyright free music for my videos that are almost entirely on You Tube. It was my friend who made the original suggestion. However, it's worth keeping in mind if I ever get the chance to meet a musician preparted...

Copyright query

I've been making some short videos of my local churches. I've been careful with choice of music for obvious reasons. A friend has just suggested that I record a church organist playing something? She says that for a hymn etc. perhaps written in the 1700s and played in the church is surely not copyri...

Re: Can't send email attachments

Thanks Peter,
All a bit advanced for me but I will try to follow up. I set up a 'gmail' address and that works fine for sending attachments. As an aside, I tried to set up a Hotmail account but went around in ever decreasing circles . . .

Re: Can't send email attachments

Hi John, Thanks as always for your help and advice. I think you may have hit upon the explanation. I do have a virtually unused gmail address. Yes, I have been sending emails without attachments with no problem. Interesting what you mention about my email address. For years it’s been magic@magicpete...

Can't send email attachments

I have a problem with sending attachments by email. All was perfect till yesterday morning when no attachments large or small would be sent. I'm running Win 10 and my email is Windows Live Mail. I've tried many things like rebooting etc. and I've even done a System Restore. I get the message ‘Your S...
