Re: BIAFF 2018 RESULTS

I'm afraid there is some rather coarse language in one scene of my film 'Smile' playing on the Sunday. It's done for a reason, and to shock, so hopefully people will take it for the reason it is intended. :D

Re: BIAFF 2018 RESULTS

Morning all, good to see the number of 5 Stars is up. :) I also got a 5 Star this year with my short film 'Smile' and will be screened on the Sunday. I was chuffed to bits with the Judges comments, some of the best i've had!

Val Ellis

Just heard the news about Val Ellis. Very sad to hear that she has passed. I have fond memories of her from when i went to the IAC festivals in London back in the late 80's, and early 90's. She would always stop and chat with me as a young whipper snapper. Full of encouragement. Over the last couple...

Re: Crowd Funding - HELP

Evening all! Sorry i haven't been around in a while... i've been VERY busy with a few movies that are taking up all of my time! More specifically the crowd funding on my short film 'Dead Air'. Well... we smashed our target for the production budget and we shot the film back in early September this y...

Re: THE BIAFF FESTIVAL 2017

But the number of five stars isn't limited, is it? You comment that there were "only" thirteen five stars (plus the 8 diamonds) in 2017. In the previous year there were only eight. There were also only 49 four star awards. The largest group of films for both years (and for as long as I ca...

Re: THE BIAFF FESTIVAL 2017

Sometimes that is the case, as it was here. Sometimes, the film that wins takes everyone's heart. We're not all built the same fortunately. :-) If we were... then we'd all love Star Wars obviously. ;-)

Re: THE BIAFF FESTIVAL 2017

Don't hold back Tim! ;-) I LOVED 'I Am'. I loved everything that you have questioned about it. The story of a mirror which has fallen for the woman that stares into it every day. The sadness that is reflected in her life is also reflected in the mirror itself... it so wants to be with her. The lead'...

Re: Crowd Funding - HELP

Sadly, we didn't quite make our target of £20k via Kickstarter... although we did reach an admirable £16K! But alas, with Kickstarter, if you don't reach your target, you get ZERO money, and no one is charged. With that in mind, we are changing tactic and changing platform. So we're using IndieGoGo ...
