Isn't it a bit ageist to talk about 'old folk' Stingman say sorry :) Erm........................... NO! My reason is that if we don`t get more folk into our clubs. Then they'll die. The clubs and the people! It could be a slow death or a sudden one for our clubs. My club is healthy in money but not...

No BillyfromConsett! I film with a Crappy £150er JVC. When I need to film inportant stuff, then I us...

I like and love the Sony FX1. I received my copy of DV User and it has a good article on HD, and a good camera they recommend for the money is the Canon HF11 or the Panasonic SD100. They only downfall is that to Manual focus is a bind, but they have cracking Images and are only about £699! They use ...

I must email them again! It IS great fun doing. You walk around in `proper offical tops` and have a cameraman follow you while you pick your victim, er, person to interview. And then edit the lot in no more then the two minute limit. It`s great to do this all as it stops you from getting rusty! As a...

Long story cut short........... I film as a newsteam for HOPE 08, a Christian Organisation. The 2 minute films that each of us make go onto their website, and are also shown on a few Christian Channels on Sky. The two that I have done suffered from a bit of distorted sound. My two cameramen both had...

I'd go along with all the things Willy put forward, though at my club only about 30% actually make any films at all. Most just come along to see people, and watch whatever is on the screen. To be a member of any sort of club, one has to become involved, or one is just a hanger-on-er! To go to a fil...

I see no problem! The Copyright monster rears it`s ugly head again! I would feel great if someone wanted to copy and show one of my films. BTW. I do owe a few people a copy of some of my films. I havn`t forgotton, editing commitments and club comps, and doing film stuff for people eats up my compute...

Excellent film!! Put me down for a copy! I would contact Channel 4 or The film arm FilmFour! It`s the sort of film that they show on tv. English Low-Budget films of which I love because it`s the sort of film that I could make. I would do this first as if you put it into a festival then that may stop...

A good review Willy ... I am even more certain I will never reach the standard of the top awards - one minute movies and the shorts that I tend to make are different - they're just the 'roll and butter' that goes with a superb feast. I would agree. I love Willy ramberlings! We get so much insight i...

How old is 'Young'? I'm 46 so I guess that makes me young here - but most music composing competitions have an age limit of 35 which makes feel very old!!! Anyway - regards the name - I agree with most of the posts I've read already - drop the name 'Amateur' - How about replacing it with 'Academy'?...
