Re: 8MM CINE FILM COPYING TO VIDEO
I have saved a Eumig S709 for the purpose of transferring to Video. It is so simple to alter the speed and get a flicker free result. The only trouble of course is the infamous Eumig hum. I can reduce it but not completely eliminate it.

. Try this website for Fotospeed FC50 Film cleaner. 125ml cost just under £10. http://www.thedarkroom.co.uk/products_c ... uctID=1689. I use it and it works well. If not available, (it is I checked this morning,) try THE widescreen Association. Cheers Roy

volume adjustment in Adobe premiere pro 2
Can anyone tell me how to adjust the volume of a part of an audio clip on the timeline. I can alter overall volume of an audio track and I can alter the volume of a whole audio clip but I just can't find the way of altering volume on a part of a clip. I could I suppose use the razor to cut the clip ...

Re: PC's - keeping it stable and up to date.
Dave. I have used the latest Norton, I have used Ashampoo and at the present I am using Windows essential securities all of which has allowed trojans in. At least the Windows programme actually removed the most dangerous severe risk trojans but at the same time allowed a company called shields secur...

Re: PC's - keeping it stable and up to date.
I have to agree that having a PC dedicated only to editing is very benificial. I do just that, I have a powerful ( made to my specs.) PC solely for editing HD video. I have never had any trouble with this PC (touch wood), whereas my other PC which I use for forums and general internet work has suffe...

Re: Eumig projector
Thanks for sharing the info Brian. I used Eumigs for many years and never knew where the name came from or that the firm produced projectors for 9.5mm. I still have several Eumigs which I used for transferring film to video becuase of the ease of matching the speed to the camcorder. Good machines bu...

Re: Filters and how/when to use them
Tom. I have just bought filters and a wide angle lens attachment for a Sony HDV camcorder. I thought they would be handy in Spanish sunshine and the Extra wide angle for use in confined spaces. They cost me well over £100 and apparantly have a good reputation, but your advice has made me seriously t...

Re: North v South, change needed
Mike. You talk a lot of sense and what you say is also my thoughts. After 60 odd years in the film making and now Video making business and organising many "Public shows" for a film club in the past I can say that a public show is one when tickets are sold to the General Public in advance ...

Re: MAGIX Edit Pro 17
Can highly recommend Vegas Movie Studio 10. Platinum. It's cheap and does everything you ask of it. I have tried Magix 15 and can't get on with it at all , all my colleagues dumped it as well. The manual is useless to the layman, the company takes days to answer a query and half the time can't cure ...
