Re: What is New?

Thanks Col, for all of that wonderful information. Sorry to hear FC Express was not very good. I could not agree with you more. Regards FCP-X I could argue with you. After reading all your answers I will do more browsing then asking questions. I now have a good view of how this forum works after bei...

Re: What is New?

O.K. Lets drop the cine days and nostalgic era at the moment. What do I really want from this forum?. Young members who belong on this forum to ask questions on video techniques and to help us with editing software. Do any members need help with shooting a specific video. How many members belong to ...

Re: CLUB PROMOTION

I try and stay positive. No I would not just go into the Park. I understand where you are coming from. This day and age one has to be very careful. In a few weeks I will be filming with the video club at a Bus Station and hope the public will be interested. Anyway a few ideas have come forward, whic...

Re: CLUB PROMOTION

Yes, these are all wonderful idea's. But there is one issue? Younger people are working on their own in groups and use the internet for showing and advice. The video clubs are not increasing membership. I think all forms of club are a bit in the same situation. I was thinking of finding out where th...

Re: What is New?

There is no risk of this becoming a fogey thread. It depends on who corresponds or is willing to voice a different outlook. Most of us only speak from experience and how we see things in this video format art world. The only time i feel old is when the doctor gives me a health check or rather an M.O...

What is New?

It's like climbing a mountain. You get to the top and it is a long way down. What do people want to write in this forum?. Where is the drawn in the film or video media for people to come on this forum or have ever heard of the IAC. I think we have debated this topic before. Even belonging to a video...

Re: IAC FORUM

Hi Michael, Yes we remember the 10 best as me and Robbie Burns put our films in many years ago and won a Eumig Projector. The word Amateur and professional always jarred with me. Too me it means one gets paid and people pay to see their work and the other is for love and free viewing. I think every ...

Re: IAC FORUM

One could have an annual festival regards amateur. All videos must be from video clubs and an entry fee should cover the cost. When the 10 Best Film Festival was around that was the normal procedure. I feel one could keep on with this topic and there is no magic solution. But we have a forum and it ...

Re: IAC FORUM

Over to me i guess. I joined the IAC in the 60s as it was the only platform for getting ones cine films show on a big venue once a year and getting copy right material. Plus the IAC was a strong organisation for the amateur movement at that time. Today with so many outlet for showing ones work the I...

IAC FORUM

Having joined this forum for a few months, I have a question? Who is this forum for? and why do we have very few posts from other members?
The pattern seems to be that the same few keep answering and posting new material.

Re: polarising lens filters

Did Jessops not last year shut down? Most filter work is now done in the editing stage with plug ins. One should be able to put filters on one's camcorder.
