Re: mic. adapter for Sony camcorder

I think the problem is not one that can be solved by using the Hague Adapters, which appear to be a simple MECHANICAL adaptation of the the Sony SMALL Hot Shoe to accept a STANDARD size accessory.
It's the HOT function that needs adapting to become an EXTERNAL connector.

Re: Copying commercial VHS tapes to PC

I use a JVC SVHS/VHS machine connected to a Panasonic DVD Recorder via S-Video connecting lead. I have not yet found a problem with any commercial VHS tape when transferring to DVD. I've so far copied about 45. However, using the same DVD recorder, attempts to copy DVDs via RGB connection are usuall...

Re: tv default to 4x3 screen

Vistron is a reputable electronics firm that produces products for a number of manufacturers, but not usually with their own name on. I think the solution to your problem is going to lie in the Set-up Menus for the TV, which is why I asked if the Club in question could produce an Instruction Book. F...

Re: tv default to 4x3 screen

I'm a TV engineer in one of my many manifestations. Can you please clarify what you are saying about the TV "defaulting to 4:3 when switched off"? Are you saying that if the TV is showing a 16:9 ratio before it is switched off, when it is switched back on it displays in 4:3, even if there ...

Re: An unmissable pastiche

There was a special reason why I found that "spoof" irresistible.... West Side Story is my all-time favourite musical, partly because of the classic music, but also because 16th March 1960 was the first time I took my present wife on a "date".. to see the show at Her Majesty's Th...

Re: Looking for a Eumig

In my last post I said... "doesn't have to be pristine". That was out of deference to the proud owners of such machines! Perhaps I should (at the risk of being thought to be using bad language) have said that "untidy" was OK. What I am looking for, as a minimum, is a machine that...

Looking for a Eumig

I'm looking for a Eumig projector, doesn't have to be pristine so long as it is complete and works. Any one of three models would be suitable...S807D, S810D or S824 Sonomatic HQ. I would prefer to do a trade (I have a wide variety of Cine and Electronic Gear available) but would consider reasonable ...

Re: Projector Screens (again!)

Correction....real Cinema Seats and Lyon's Maid ladies can only be used when REAL FILM is being projected. Therefore, your screen will also have to accept at least 2.35:1 or even 2.66:1. It is permissable for the Ladies to double as usherettes so long as they use torches with dry cell batteries and ...

Oh dear! My closing down sale appears to have been too successful.. I've only located 6 so far! But I'll go through some more boxes and get back if I can be more helpful.

Re: DVTape

How many do you need? I have a few (new and sealed) left over from my recently retired business, as also plenty of VHS, VHSC. I even have brand new Betamax (unusual I know but they are still available and I always carried what my customers asked for).
