Royalty-free music

I have just bought a CD of royalty-free music from http://www.nvmdigital.com and I must say it is excellent. I am very impressed. Each CD comes with a written music contract to show to broadcasters etc to prove that they will not get a bill for broadcasting the music! I was also impressed by the fac...

What you need is a length of broom handle (or similar) with a tripod screw (usually quarter-inch Whitworth) in one end. You will be surprised what a difference it makes. An improvement is an additional piece of pole attached at right-angles to it. The function of this is to provide extra side-to-sid...

There are plenty of excellent suggestions on this thread. However, I think you have got to do one thing before you do anything else, and that is: DROP THE 'A'-WORD!! As long as "Amateur" is in the title (or anywhere near), you are wasting your time! The tasty worm on the hook is that you c...

The projector suggestions are interesting. What pixel count do they have?

Good question, Billy! I reckon very few surf in! After all, only a very select few of us engage in these conversations! Yes, I am at the end of a very long line, so it feels like a desert island. Only the slowest speeds available here (if I am lucky). I am hoping for broadband to get a lot cheaper b...

So I heard!
The Springfields I worked at was (years ago) a wartime poison gas factory.
Any connection?

I am glad I am not a judge.
I am sure an idle finger would occasionally be tempted to stray towards the FF button, whatever the Rules say!

Are you sure it is radiation from the sun which causes the tan, or radiation from the nuclear installation?
I suppose if you do not actually glow in the dark you are OK!
(PS I used to be at Springfields)!

You are right! But of course, costs go up --- so then you can`t have free entry after all. So perhaps the problem is self-limiting! Still, some festivals overseas (no names mentioned) do have free entry, and do get hundreds of entries -- so I am still a little bit suspicious!! They often do say ther...

Another problem is that if competitions are free to enter (like many overseas) you get 800 entries. The problem then is that you cannot judge 800 entries! I notice that a lot of these free-to enter festivals ask on the entry form if you are attending. So, I guess, that if you don`t go you don`t get ...

Heaven preserve us from "professional web designers".
Most "professional design" is slow and clumsy, with pointless bandwidth-gobbling animated graphics.
Not so much the world-wide-web as the world-wide-wait!
Anyway, with a site this size, it could cost a million pounds!

It might well be worthwhile talking to the people at your regional film board. They seem to be mostly very nice young ladies with masters degrees in film studies.

Hi again,
I was not quite correct with my info about the Completion Fund, which in any case is out of time -- we are too late.
However, have a look at this website which is informative. Perhaps it will be expanded in the future.
