Re: When is the best time for festivals and competitions?

A conversation with a couple of festival organisers today set us all wondering when is the appropriate time to have these events. One advantage of this would be to let film makers consider comments from regional judges and - if they wish - to amend their films before sending them to the IAC. Dave T...

The problem with memory sticks is the compression used (I think!) To show on a big screen, you need the max quality that you can get. That means to record via MiniDV or as an AV file on a memory stick. That`s one reason that I don`t like video cameras with Harddrives, the compression. Be good all......

..........from losing cast and having to re-shoot most of the picture to big problems creating the effects. Four years later it was completed though. One good way to prevent losing cast affecting shooting (if planned proper) is to shoot all your main talking head on parts first. That way, if your c...

Re: I Am Very Sad

Ian, I think you mean 'blackmail' rather than 'bribe'. To blackmail you use information on someone that he may not want made public, to bribe you offer money, which Willy certainly would not wish to do! Yes. You are correct! Blackmail was the word I was looking for. It IS a risky way of doing thing...

I think your Mayor Sucks BIGTIME! He is not for the people, but for himself. Now all you need to do is dig up some dirt on him and bribe him with it. Does he have a wife, but is seen with some blonde on his arm? Has he just bought a new car? I`m sure people could tell you storys about his past. Was ...

Bad luck Willy! I hope it gets all sorted out. We pay about £20 per hire for our club room that is a church hall spare room. We have access to the kitchen, we have a lock up for the equipment and we have fixed our big projector screen to the ceiling which is motorised. Subs are about £24.00 per year...

Thank you Billy! It is funny because he would use the film for anything dodgie. Thats why it`s funny. It`s not funny but it is. An example. When I was a teen, I bought a tv from my mate. I took it home at 12.00 midnight! I was stopped and arrested and put in a cell for 3 hours! It transpired that th...

Two storys come to mind....... When we were in Paris on holiday, I was filming the Eifell Tower, I panned round and saw a couple of Police with there guns by there side. They have a Police room at the base of the tower. When the Police saw me they wagged there fingers and I quickly stopped filming. ...

Premiere Pro WILL handle all sorts of reselutions. My recon is that it should reconise an image up to 600%. I think this because if you inport a standard image the same size as the reselution of a normal DV project then you can Zoom this image upto 600%. I may be wrong. I do like working with bigger...

I hope that i`m not butting in and got the wrong angle on this thread   I use Premiere Pro 1.5 and love it. It doesn`t do HD but I have the next version ready and waiting for my next computer upgrade and this WILL do HD. I NEVER use Batch Capture. I just play the whole tape into my compute...
