Re: About film making

I would have thought that now this forum is classified by subject a combined forum would be good. (I haven't found the NLE one again yet!) Peter Copestake They could add another forum on this forum site but isn`t NLE part of filmmaking and this forum would cover that. I think that the people on the...

That's one of the most exciting things I love about coming to amateur movie making (quite late in life at that !!) ... with the gear we have at our disposal our only limitation is our imagination... after seeing firs...

Hello Willy, With all these War Battles, both sides suffer and you do wonder what it`s all about! It does seem through that one person suddenly gets alot of power and it goes to his head. Because mostly they are doolalee (fruitcases, nutcases!), you never know what they are going to do next. If left...

Thank you Ned for the correct facts. On this war film topic, I think a good film would be about the relationship between a British Soldier and a German Soldier. Circumstanses could bring them together and in the end they could be basicly fighting for the same freedom. I think a similar film has been...

I like the old British War Films. They included some of the best actors in the world with very little special effects. Hearing that the Damnbusters is to be made is good. I shall be looking forward to that one. I know that this may not go down with older German people but a `Film` I also liked was `...

Re: Shocking !

7 or 8 years ago I showed a bull fighting scene in Arles in my film. The bull was "tortured" and killed. The bull suffered quite a lot. It was difficult to film this. It was really disgusting. But I wanted to show that final scene in my film. The bull was killed by devout people... That's...

Hello David, I`ve got After Effects and couldn`t get on with it. It looked exactly like Premiere! It didn`t seem to have any other features that I could find! I`ll have to have a play again. What I understand on how it could help me is that you edit your movie and then just export the clip you want ...

If Money Was No Object?

Dear all, If money was no object. What would be your ideal film to make? Would you do a Thriller? Would you do a Science Fiction film? I would like to do a sort of Period film like a `Sleepy Hollow` type of thing. Plenty of room to use atmospheric effects like smoke and rain. Of course, you lot know...

Editing Software - What do you use?

Dear all fellow film-makers, I was just wondering what Editing Software you all use and if you liked it and how you got on with it. I use Premiere Pro (I have PremPro2, but cannot use this yet because of computer hardware). I love this programme as it does everything I need. I can do PIP and Blue sc...

WE WENT TO pARIS THE LAST two years via Eurostar. They use Airport like machines and xrays. My camera was as hand luggage and it went through the trey xray machine. No problems while captureing and filming so don`t worry.

Hello Guys, It`s gone a bit quite. I have found that the more films I make the less I seem to get out of judges comments! When I first started I took them like the words from God. Now I don`t after some comments I received over a film I made when the judges got it wrong and didn`t even know the rule...
