Panasonic Camcorder HC-X920 problem
Hi. I can't display the date and time details on this camcorder. I have selected and entered the details by using the method described in the user manual. I have found the subject in the menu and it says the date and time is off. In no way can I get it to say on. Can anyone help please?

Re: Asus monitors
Tim. Very true observation. You are indeed an excellent wordsmith. I have solved my problems after a lot of mistakes, mainly due to hitting the wrong button. There is no actual choice of a 4x3 selection. There is only a pan 4x3 choice( whatever that is) but it didn't give a true 4x3 image. I selecte...

Re: Asus monitors
Hi John. Thanks for your input. I have managed to download a user manual for The Asus VN247 and it does explain how to alter the various contents of the menus. It would appear to be a very complicated procedure, to me anyway, I will try to follow the procedure, but the trouble is that the press butt...

Asus monitors
HI. i HAVE UP TO NOW used a Grundig TV/monitor to edit my videos and also used it to play back the finished disk for checking the results. This arrangement has worked very well. NOW, because of my eyesight is not as sharp as it was, I have changed the Grundig for a bigger screen monitor, namely an A...

Re: 8mm film scanners
Hi Tom. Yes I did convert unstable shots into stills, mostly where no movement of people was taking place.

Re: 8mm film scanners
Hi. All the posters on this topic might be interested to know that I have uploaded to You Tube my video of "LAS PALMAS" as converted diect from Super 8mm film to Digital with the Reflecta film scanner. It is named as "LAS PALMAS converted by REFLECTA". Both versions on on my chan...

Re: 8mm film scanners
Tom. You asked if I had any results of my film scanning. Yes I have transferred two 40 year old films and have recently included them in a show I gave at Newcastle ACA. The LAS palmas film was easiest to do and the picture quality was very good indeed. The other film of Sanfransisco was quite diffic...

Re: Adobe premiere pro CS6 rubber bands
Hi Peter. Thanks for your reply. I know about Audio Gain and have used it several times. For me it has a drawback in that it cannot be used whilst listening to the audio track and so it slows me up when I have over fifty different audio clips on the time line. I have to guess the amount of increase ...

Adobe premiere pro CS6 rubber bands
Hi. I don't know if I'm using the right terminology but I refer to the thin line that adjusts the volume on each audio track on the timeline. My problem is that at 92 my eyes are not very sharp and as the line is a pale yellow in colour against a white background I am not always can see it when I ma...

Re: 8mm film scanners
Hi Tom. I have discovered a disturbing fact regarding the guarantee of the film scanner. It would appear that this warrantee only lasts until the meter reads 200 . Even a simple test to find the right settings covering a few feet of film is registered on the meter as 1. I have only made two films wi...

Re: 8mm film scanners
Hi Tom. I have for my sins bought a REFLECTA scanner, It would seem that nearly all these scanners are made by the same factory in China. However I must say that the quality of the image made by the scanner is a vast improvement on the method I have previously used. The difference between the two ve...

8mm film slicing patches
HI. I have purchased a reflecta 8mm. film scanner and need to resplice some films to ensure the film doesn't break at a weak splice. I have got a Wurker splicer and need patches to work with it. Does anybody know where I can buy the patches. I have tried Google for info and there are many firms offe...
