PREM CS6 PROBLEM
Why do these things always happen to me? I have created a 40 minute sequence with lots of short edited clips and all is well . . till now . . Have just reloaded it and the audio on all the clips is shown apparently as off line. - well no sound is heard. The audio on the original clips is still fine ...

Oh No - not another technical problem.
For several years I’ve used for copying discs a programme called BurnOn CD&DVD. After it copies it always retains the files for making further copies if needed. It makes the saved file as Subject.mds. It has always done me proud. I’ve just been asked to make a further copy of a DVD made ages ago...

Sony RDR-HX525 DVD recorder
Do any of you good folk use the Sony DVD Recorder RDR-HX525? I regularly use it to copy long VHS tapes to DVD. A while ago I used to put videos on the machine’s hard drive for showing at club meetings. There are about 10 titles still there. Today I wanted to add to these by copying one of my DVDs to...

Re: Another problem - Encore this time
Thanks for further replies. Problem is explained by my own ignorance of course. I will try to briefly explain but know that writer’s explanations are often difficult to understand. I have a stand-alone Sony DVD recorder that can be set to record 1hr/1.5hrs/2hrs/2.5hrs/3hrs etc. on a standard DVD. I ...

Re: Another problem - Encore this time
Thanks Friends. Far be it for me to think I know better than you :D My stand alone Sony DVD recorder has various setting to put more than the standard amount onto a DVD. I can set it to 1hr/1.5hrs/2hrs/2.5hrs and 3hrs. Naturally the quality drops as the size of the file increases. Encore has the set...

Another problem - Encore this time
Using Prem CS6 I occasionally make a DVD going direct into Adobe Encore, usually quite short programmes perhaps 30 minutes. This time I have a project edited down to 1hr 20 mins so in Encore I firstly set the DVD space required to 5.5GB and visually Encore shows plenty of space. This failed and woul...

Copying a file to a memory stick
I exported a large MPEG 4 video clip from my Prem CS6 to my hard drive, it’s shows as 14.5gb. A friend calls with a 30gb memory stick with 28gb free and I tried copying the clip to this memory stick However, a message states that there is not enough room on the stick for the file. I’m puzzled yet ag...

Re: I'm baffled - again.
Thanks for your thoughts. Sorry I didn't get back yesterday - I was away. Spoke to my friend who reminded me that the camera is a Sony - not a Panasonic and that he was using a brand new unused card. I reckon it will just remain a mystery. Needless to say I had my arm twisted to do a basic edit and ...

I'm baffled - again.
A friend has just returned from a family holiday of several weeks in Thailand and called in with his Pan camcorder SD card to show me a couple of clips from over 400. (Wow). I put the card into the PC and brought up the view showing the files from 00000 to 000400+. Clicking on the first my friend sa...

Customer service???
It’s a funny world. For many years I’ve always bought my video cameras from a very well known West Country dealer. Canon XM2 Sony PD150, PD170 Sony Z5 plus the digital back. Sony HDR-NX3. Sony HD editing deck etc. and so on. I’ve always had good service when buying although general enquiries by e-ma...

Lanc handle camera controllers for SONY
I have a large tripod which has a Manfrotto handle camera control which is absolutely fine. Generally this tripod is too heavy for casual carrying around so I have a smaller one which is just about adequate for my Sony NX3 camera and on this for years I’ve used a small VariZoom camera control. Sadly...
