Re: Hot keys and SD Cards.

Thanks Tom, I will follow that up. I see my cards are reputed to have a five year guarantee. Do not like testing guarantees!! :( I have now started to try to index my HD footage. With tapes I had them all numbered, dated to and from, location and gendra all on a nice Excel data base that reconciled ...

Re: Hot keys and SD Cards.

Thanks Fred. I have found he program and formatted the card in accordance with the program and Camera instructions. I see that in the summary it is described as FAT 32. In the old days that meant that there was a file size limit and so we formatted in NTFS. Does HD work differently, does anyone know...

Thanks Arthur,

I will try that. I suspect that the final result will be a mixture of a number of approaches.

Re: Cleaning up an audio sound track using audition 1.5

Dear Mike, Thank you for that suggestion. It is very attractive as time is now "of an essence" as he has seen some rough cuts !!!. As I type I have the thought that I will ask one of the more Knowledgeable and articulate collectors of the Breed to do the commentary you suggest. Brilliant. ...

The commentary is of variable volume and the Mooing of cattle and their movement and spectator noise at another level. all intermittant. Please does anyone have an address for a tutorial for Audition / Audacity or som...

Re: Calling Scotland ... why should we go to Stirling?

Yes Brian, I am very fond of Scotland and Stirling in particular. I am hoping to be able to be with you all in the Autum as I owe a number of members of the Forums a drink or two for all their help. One of our Members made a film of the Falkirk Wheel the first year it was open. The Wheel is an engin...

Re: Telephoto lens required for filming waders.

Thank you Jane, In January I went to Slimbridge on a Wildlife Filming course run by a film crew from Bristol and learn't an awful lot, but we used an HD lens costing Mega bucks and an ordinary Camera. I have pulled in my horns when I see that there is little chance of matching these experts and have...

Re: Odd format problem on miniDV tape

Thanks Dave, the Monitor is not a TV and is called Flatron W2246s. I eventually tracked down a Manual and it said that the best resolution for this screen was 1920 x 1080. I have always had both screens at the same resolution. Now I have one at 1280x1024 and one at 1920x1080 but my pictures for edit...
