Billy, I thnk you're totally missing the point here (I prefer to think that to the alternative... deliberately avoiding the point...) I think your reading half of my posts and skipping the rest. And I won't go into the "computer programming for idiots" patronising lecture about why Mercal...

Actually, I think you need to explore the ProDad site a bit more - there are at least 6 examples of Mercalli there, probably more, and several 'combined example' clips - with different examples. I used to have a teacher at school whose reply to a question for information was "try looking for i...

tom.

I can't help my blood pressure rising just a tad at the labels of Premiere 6 being old, obsolete rubbish etc... it's relevant because we use it. We're not professionals with money to keep investing, when the gear we've got does actually work reasonably well. In my view, comparing it negatively to bu...

I joined about 4 years ago, as I was being kept regularly up to date with copies of our magazine from my great friend at Newcastle ACA - Joe Clark. I felt guilty that he bought his subscription and I just helped myself to some of the benefits of it. But as me and Joe make some movies with music, and...

Has anybody used it and put something on youtube? Would be nice to a few better quality demos than the ultra low resolution of the few second demo. I can't test it as I've Prem 6.5. The plug-ins listed are for: Adobe Premiere Pro 1.0 Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 Adobe Premiere Pro C...

I don't tend to keep originals tapes either, and in the 6 years I've been making movies, I can't remember ever needing old originals from documentaries.

I put my finished movies on at least 2 different miniDV tapes, and also on a DVD.

I don't know any wedding videographers, but dabble in it myself, maybe once or twice a year. I don't do it for people I don't know or advertise. As for the music, I do own a IAC licence and don't charge more than expenses. From the pro forums I occasionally look at, the guys know the rules, and I ge...

I'll come out of the closet and admit that I often use auto-focus, because in many general situations, it works.

I trust it more than the typical viewfinder on domestic cams, that let them down imo.

I suspect that I'm not alone.

I wasn't tempted to look at hi def. I couldn't justify having up update my whole rig - and then not be able to even show my films at the club or with friends.

Do any of our UK clubs have a hi def projection rig?

Re: Fantastic Wedding and Video Editing Etc

BIAFF. Now THAT`s an idea. I could set another trend like when I entered a blank film  But you`ve all heard that one   ! I'd rather watch a blank two hour vcr tape than a stranger's 2 hour wedding video. By the way, if you enter it, citing me, then I'm dead. The Biaff man...

No I don't watch full movies that can go through my film rig with the DTS amp and big screen. It's more comfortable there too. I've got a friend who downloads full DVD movies, burns them on discs, then watches on the tv. He's naughty I think. I doubt it's legal, and I don't think it's a paid subscri...
